Harvest Market Bag- crochet pattern

Spring is het time of plans and projects.” -Leo Tolstoy

Yay, it’s Spring!

This market bag crochet pattern is released on the first day of spring. I hope that the changing of the season will come with renewed optimism.

Symbolically spring is all about love, hope, youth and growth. It is the season of new life, rejuvenation, and rebirth.

Now that the world is in lockdown because of the Corona virus, I’m sure we all experience the start of spring differently than other years. Maybe the emphasis on the symbolism will be even stronger! We need to be hopeful to conquer this pandemic. Or this “war” as Macron called it.

In the meantime I am so grateful I’ve got crochet in my life. Indeed, this is what I’ve been training for all those years 😉

Linen yarn is perfect for crochet bags

It’s not the first time I chose Drops Bomull-lin to create a bag. Did you know that linen is one of the most biodegradable and stylish fabrics? It is strong, durable and sustainable.

Drops Bomull-Lin colour palette is inspired by the beautiful colours of the linen plant after the harvest. Ergo, the Harvest market bag.

One of my testers said, she had to get used to the yarn as it feels different than normal cotton yarn. But, she said, she really likes it and it’s the perfect yarn for the bag!

Cross stitches

I picked two playful cross stitches for the bag, which make it an interesting and fun (and not so hard) make. I put in an extra photo to make it clear.

Happy crocheting and be safe!
